The Duck Pond

Dynamic, playful re-telling of Swan Lake with infectious live original music, exuberant physical theatre and ‘gloriously inventive’ (The Stage) stagecraft.

The Prince’s 21st birthday celebrations transport Rothbart’s fair to a town near and far away, long ago and yesterday. Under moonlight a discontented Prince is hooked into love with webbed feet. The lovers dance on dodgems … trying to make the sparks last longer and keep the moon in the sky, but inevitably black magic ensures that love is swept downstream. We won’t promise you ballet and Tchaikovsky – though you may get a bit of both.
